Winter 2025: Recreation & Healthy Active Living Leadership Course Scholarship Application

Thank you for your interest in the Recreation & Healthy Active Living Leadership Course. In collaboration with ASK Online Canada, the Town of Aurora has designed and successfully launched a female and gender diverse hybrid (face-to-face and online) leadership course where students can obtain a grade 12 credit towards their high school diploma.

Scholarship applications will be accepted between October 7th, 2024 and January 31st, 2025 while funds remain. Please expect communication regarding your application no later than February 7th, 2025.

The course fee is typically $525. All accepted students will receive a $100 scholarship from ASK Online Canada and The Town of Aurora , respectively.

Please note: Winter 2025 Course fee $325 per student, Early Bird fee is $275 per student.

The Low Income Measures (LIMs) are a set of thresholds estimated by Statistics Canada that identify Canadians whose incomes are below half of the median of the adjusted income distribution. To be eligible for a Recreation & Healthy Active Living Leadership Course scholarship, your family income (after taxes) must be below or at the income listed above in the Statistics Canada Low Income Measure cut-off table.  Family size includes you, spouse, partner, and dependents living in the household.
